Greed Vs. Environment by GreenVoice Greed Vs. Environment by GreenVoice
Human greed is killing our planet. Humanity is burning through the planet's resources at a reckless rate, but do we, humans, really know what we are doing? Do we really understand the importance of healthy environment? Do we realize that in fact we are breaking down our future? There's a great quote by Guy McPherson: "If you really think the environment is less important than the economy, try holding your breath while you count your money."

The Arctic region is very sensitive and already under threat from climate change, but it is now also under threat from oil drilling. Oil drilling could be catastrophic for this already delicate region.
The first thing to do, if you haven't done it already, is to sign up at www.savethearctic.org to help Greenpeace to create a global sanctuary around the North Pole.

PLEASE, TAKE A MINUTE OUT OF YOUR TIME AND SIGN UP HERE --> www.savethearctic.org

Pretty sure they know, but they don't give a toss. It's all about corporate greed to satisfy themselves in their lifetime with no concern for the future.

I tried to draw something very similar to this without realising it's already been done.
It crushes me to see human population increase. Noone tells you at what cost we live on this dying planet.

Oil drilling in the arctic is inevitable but this does not mean that safety procedures should be left unchecked.

Dear Irina, what you so wonderfully depict in your illustrations is powerfully alluded to in the Bible at Revelation 11:18 (end of verse).  The people and organizations you promote are to be commended, as well as yourself, for efforts made.  However, these efforts ultimately will fail.  Why?  Because as pointed out in Jeremiah 10:23, "It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step."  Only during Jesus millennial rule will the earth be restored to perfect, Eden-like balance (Isaiah 11:6-9; Isaiah 65:17-25; Revelation 21:3-5 et al).  So does this give us an excuse to do nothing in the meantime, while we wait for his coming?  Never!  We do what we can while we await the permanent solution. Thanks for reminding us.
